NOTICE OF RACE
1 RULES
1.1 The championship will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing and the International 49er Class Rules.
1.2 Hungarian national authority prescriptions will apply.
1.3 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.
2 ADVERTISING
Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.
3 ELIGIBILITY, ENTRY AND FEES
3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the 49er class.
3.2 Entry Fee: € 20/person.
4 SCHEDULE
4.1 Registration: Day and date: 08.05.2012. From 9 AM to 10 AM.
4.2 Races from 08.05.2012. 12 AM, daily 4 races possible.
5 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available after registration.
6 VENUE
6.1 Attachment A shows the location of the regatta harbour.
6.2 Attachment B shows the location of the racing areas.
7 THE COURSES
The courses to be sailed will be as follows: UP and Down Course with Gates, 2 Lap.
8 PENALTY SYSTEM
Rules 44.1 and 44.2 are amended so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by a One-Turn Penalty, including one tack and one gybe.
9 SCORING
The Bonus Point System of Appendix A will apply.
10 SUPPORT BOATS
Support boats shall be marked with Yellow flag.
11 PRIZES
Prizes will be given as follows: First three will be announced after a minimum of 3 races.
12 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
13 INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 500.000.- EUR per event or the equivalent.
