Klub ¨BOFOR¨ svjestan je da je Jadransko more nasljeđe za budučnost , te iz godine u godinu organizira čišćenje obala , mora i podmorja .

Zajedničkim ciljem da sačuvamo čisto i nezagađeno more tj. podmorje  klub ¨BOFOR¨ poziva sve članove i sportaše na organizirano čišćenje podmorja Orebić .

Potrebno je imati vlastitu ronilačku opremu , preporučujemo sudionicima eko-akcije da dođu s punim ronilačkim bocama.

Nadamo se da ćemo uz Vašu  pomoć uspjeti u organizaciji prve ovogodišnje eko-akciju pod sloganom :

Club Bofor, Viganj, will host the 2013 ‘ESET NOD32 Antivirus’ Formula Windsurfing World Championship, sponsored by NORT d.o.o, from 8th to 13th July.

The venue is well known to many racers, having hosted previous editions of the the Croatian Open Championships. This year’s event is also a stop on the 2013 European Cup Tour.

VIGANJ is a small tourist place on the peninsula of Peljesac, 6 km from Orebic and about 15 min by boat from Korcula. It is ideal place for swimming and all kind of water sports; and especially good for windsurfing -”Viganj is a good spot with 20 kn of seabreeze every day. In July, works like a watch!”

Peljesac is a great Peninsula in the south of Croatia. Nearly at the very end of this peninsula, on the see-coast of Adriatic see, is situated a village VIGANJ. Everybody who has good knowledge of the Adriatic coast can confirm that this part of Croatia belongs between the most wonderful places. Peljesac peninsula is about 80 Km long, with mostly rocky coast, romantic bays and high mountains. The highest mountain of Peljesac is Sv. Ilja with altitude 961 m. Below this mountain and on the coast is the Orebic – not very large historical town.

Organized by Club BOFOR Viganj with the support of JK Peliska Jedra and Orebic Municipality from 16 – 21 July 2012 in Viganj, Croatia

1. RULES

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing- Windsurfing Competition Rules. If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.

2. VENUE AND RACING AREA

2.1. Latitude 42° 58’44″N; Longitude 17°06’12″W

3. ELEGIBILITY AND ENTRIES

3.1. The regatta is open to all boards of the Formula Windsurfing class.

3.2. A minimum of 6 windsurfing boards entered in the Formula Windsurfing class are required to validate CROATIAN FORMULA WINDSURFING OPEN

3.3. The Entry Form must be submitted by 13 July 2011, before 17 hours. Entry can be sent by email or fax, to the organizer Club BOFOR Viganj

3.5. Payment of the entry fees can be made at registration, on day 1 of the event (16 July 2012), till 12:00 hour.

3.6. All entries shall meet the requirements of ISAF Regulation 19 – Eligibility Code

3.7. Each competitor must sign personally the Registration Form at the Race Office from 10:00 to 12.00 on 16 July 2012

3.8. Boards should confirm personlly their entry, presenting their identity cards saling licenses and boat/personal insurance at the office of Organising Authority

NOTICE OF RACE

1 RULES

1.1 The championship will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing and the International 49er Class Rules.

1.2 Hungarian national authority prescriptions will apply.

1.3 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.

2 ADVERTISING

Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

3 ELIGIBILITY, ENTRY AND FEES

3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the 49er class.

3.2 Entry Fee: € 20/person.

4 SCHEDULE

4.1 Registration: Day and date: 08.05.2012. From 9 AM to 10 AM.

4.2 Races from 08.05.2012. 12 AM, daily 4 races possible.

5 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

The sailing instructions will be available after registration.

6 VENUE

6.1 Attachment A shows the location of the regatta harbour.

6.2 Attachment B shows the location of the racing areas.

7 THE COURSES

The courses to be sailed will be as follows: UP and Down Course with Gates, 2 Lap.

8 PENALTY SYSTEM

Rules 44.1 and 44.2 are amended so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by a One-Turn Penalty, including one tack and one gybe.

9 SCORING

The Bonus Point System of Appendix A will apply.

10 SUPPORT BOATS

Support boats shall be marked with Yellow flag.

11 PRIZES

Prizes will be given as follows: First three will be announced after a minimum of 3 races.

12 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

13 INSURANCE

Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 500.000.- EUR per event or the equivalent.

General Rules

FORMULA WINDSURFING EUROPEAN CUP

2012 CALENDAR OF CUP EVENTS

April 28>May 1 – Iberian Cup, Portugal

June 29>july 1 – Baltic Cup, Estonia

July 16 >21 – Croatian Open, Croatia

PREAMBLE

These rules form the basis for the agreement between the International Windsurfing Association (IWA) for, and on behalf of, the

International Formula Windsurfng Class (IFWC) and each of the selected Local Organising Authorities (LOA).

1. IWA, IFWC and Local Organizing Authority (LOA)

1.1 General

1.1.1 A separate LOA organizes each different event on the tour and is solely responsible for the agreements he enters into in the execution of his event.

1.1.2 Each LOA is sanctioned to do so by formal agreement with the International Windsurfing Association Ltd (IWA) for and behalf of the International Formula Windsurfing Class (IFWC).

1.2 Duties and Rights of the LOA

1.2.1 The duties of the local LOA are as follows (this list is not supposed to be exhaustive):

a) Publicity for the tour in your event communications including use of the tour and class logos.

b) Compliance with these rules in full.

c) Reimbursement of travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for invited officials. or as agreed.

d) Publication of the NoR on the IFWC website minimum 2 months ahead of the event.

e) 24h secure storage for equipment during the event.

f) Discounted accommodations near the event for the riders.

g) 1 meal per day for all the riders .

h) Enough water for all the riders.

i) Payment of Series Prize Money fee to IWA

h) Invite an agreed number of Team Riders and provide them with Free Accommodation ( see #26)

1.2.2 The rights of the LOA are as follows:

a) The LOA will be independent in his decisions concerning the event as long as they do not effect any rules or regulations concerning the Tour as specified in these General Rules.

b) Usage of the Services of the IWA and IFWC.

c) Information distribution via IWA and IFWC database.

d) Usage of the tour title and class/tour logos.

e) Local marketing and TV rights remain the property of the LOA; sharing the international rights with IFWC

f) Exclusivity of the event dates within the tour.

g) Promotion on the IFWC and IWA websites, in the Windsurfing Newsletter and International Calendars.

h) Right to organise a Grand Prix or Class Championship in same area in successive years.

2. Rules

2.1 Each event shall be governed by:

• The ISAF Windsurfing Competition Rules (WCR)
• The IFWC Class Rules and General Rules of the FW European Cup.
• The local official rules of the national windsurfing/sailing associations if they are published in the NoR
• The Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions
• ISAF Regulation 20 – Advertising Code

2.2 Some rules may differ between events. Changes of the international rules shall be announced in the Notice of Race and/or the Sailing Instructions.

2.3 Each event is a Level 2 IFWC World Ranking event.

3. Divisions

3.1 Two groups can be identified: men and women.

3.2 When 10 or more women are registered, they shall have a separate start.

3.3 There may be separate prizes or trophies for Lightweight Men, and the following age divisions: Junior(U17), Youth (U20), Masters

(35+) and Grand Masters (45+) .

3.4 The standing of a competitor within a division shall be calculated by making a simple extraction from the overall results. Scores will not be recalculated in the process.

Division definition:

A Youth (U20) shall be under the age of 20;

A Junior (U17) shall be under the age of 17.

A Master is a male competitor who has reached the age of 35.

A Grand Master is a male competitor who has reached the age of 45.

3.5 A competitor must have reached the minimum age limit, in the relevant division, by Dec 31st. in the year preceding the date of competition.

3.6 A competitor must not be older than the maximum age limit, in the relevant division, by Dec 31st of the year of competition.

3.7 A minimum of 5 entries is required to constitute a division.

4. Flexible-Gold-Silver-Fleet-System (Course Racing)

4.1 The “Flexible-Gold-Silver-Fleet-System“ may be used. At registration the competitors may have the chance to opt for the “shortened course”. Competitors completing one less lap (Silver Fleet) shall be scored behind those who finish the full course (Gold Fleet); alternatively the NoR may specify a separate scoring and ranking for the shortened course competitors.

5. Formats and conditions

5.1 Format may include course racing, slalom racing and long distance /marathon.

5.2 Races shall only be run in suitable conditions. The race committee’s decision is final when it comes to deciding if conditions are suitable for racing.

6. Entries & Pre-Entries

6.1 The tours are an “Open Entry” event series for male and female competitors.

6.2 A competitor shall meet the requirements of ISAF Regulation 19 and be a member of either a National Class Association in good standing with the IFWC or be a member of the IFWC.

6.3 Competitors who enter or pre-enter for an event and do not register (compete), without giving an excuse acceptable to the IFWC, may be refused entry to future Tour events.

7. On site Registration

7.1 On site registration times shall be published in the NoR, which shall be posted on the Official Notice Board.

7.2 Each racer shall register personally at the event office during the times advertised in the relevant NoR. This is normally the day before the first start and the morning before the skippers meeting of the first competition day.

7.3 Competitors may be asked to show their membership card and/or licence card.

8. Liability

8.1 Competitors take part in events at their own risk. The IFWC, IWA, LOA, or any of their representatives, sponsors, or officials are not responsible under any circumstances for any damage, loss or injury to persons or equipment either ashore or on the water. Participation in this tour and each event within it, is at the sole discretion of the participant and at his/her own risk.

8.2 Competitors shall possess valid third party liability insurance covering personal injury or equipment damage and carry evidence of such.

8.3 The LOA is solely responsible for the execution of the event and any obligations arising from it.

9. Sail Insignia

9.1 National letters & sail numbers shall comply with the most recent directive from the IFWC.

10. Equipment

10.1 Competitors may bring their own equipment.

10.2 Equipment registered for use shall comply with the IFWC class rules.

11. Measurement

11.1 Each Competitor shall ensure that his/her equipment conforms to the Class Rules.

11.2 Measurement and equipment checks may be made throughout the event.

12. Buoyancy

12.1 If personal buoyancy is prescribed by national law, the LOA shall state this in the NoR.

12.2 If personal buoyancy is prescribed every competitor & support boat crewmember shall wear, above the waist, a personal flotation device that shall conform to the minimum standard of ISO 12402-5 (level 50).

13. Coaches & Team Support Personnel

13.1 Coaches & team support personnel are required to register in advance and give notice to the organisers if they propose to bring their own coach boats.

13.2 LOAs may charge each coach or team support person a fee for services rendered not exceeding Euro 30.

14. Courses

14.1 Courses shall be as described in the Sailing Instructions.

15. Protest Committee

15.1 A Protest Committee will be appointed in accordance with WCR 91 ( a ).

16. Sailing Instructions (SI)/Event Programme

16.1 The SI’s shall be made available at registration as will the event programme scheduling social events.

17. Drug Testing

17.1 Competitors are reminded of the binding effect of International rules and regulations concerning the use of banned methods and substances. Drug testing may take place during the event.

18. Television and Media

18.1 By registering for the event, competitors automatically grant the organising authority the right to make, use and show from time to time at their discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproduction of them, taken during the period of the event, for the said event as defined in the Notice of Race and Sailing Instruction in which he/she participates without any compensation arranged for.

19. Bibs/Vests & Competitors Sail Branding.

19.1 During racing, the LOA may require competitors to wear bibs/vests carrying the event sponsors’ branding and the event sponsor’s advertising on their sails. The maximum area that this branding/advertising may occupy is 600mmX1000mm which shall be placed back to back immediately below the sail insignias

19.2 Top competitors may be ranked for each event (using IFWC World Ranking) & may carry their ranking on their bibs/vests.

20. Dress Code

20.1 There can be official events where ‘smart casual’ clothes will be required. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any person to such events if in their opinion the competitor’s standard of attire is not commensurate with the occasion.

21. Event and Series Scoring

21.1 The WCR low points scoring system will apply. Discard system will be as specified in the class championship rules.

21.2 A valid event result can be declared after one completed race.

21.3 Each valid event result will be scored as ”one race” for the Series Result.

21.4 Discards, for events and series, will be according to Championship Rule #13.5

22. Medals, Trophies and Prizes

22.1 The following medals or trophies may be awarded (minimum) at the prize giving:

1st place Men 1st place women 1st place Light

2nd place men 2nd place women 1st place Youth (U20)

3rd place men 3rd place women 1st place Master (over 35)

22.2 Additional trophies may be awarded but shall be advertised in the NoR in advance.

23. Communications

23.1 The official website for the European Cup is www.formulawindsurfing.org

23.2 The LOA’s websites shall include at least one link to the IWA website and one link to IFWC website as appropriate as well as acknowledging that the tour/event is sanctioned by the IWA for an on behalf of the IFWC

23.3 The IWA and IFWC homepages will carry daily news bulletins and images provided by LOA’s as appropriate.

23.4 The Windsurfing News Letter, which is edited and distributed by the IWA, will carry news and links as appropriate.

23.5 If the LOAs develops its own electronic or printed newsletter, each edition shall include at least one link to the

IWA website and one link to the IFWC website as well as acknowledging that the tour/event is sanctioned by the IWA for and on behalf of the IFWC.

24. Event Prize money

24.1 The LOA shall advertise any prize money for the event, net of taxes, in his NoR. Prize money at events is not mandatory.

24.2 Where an event declares a valid result, prize money shall be divided according to the system published on the class website.

24.2 Inability to declare a valid result:

The LOA may retain up to 20% of prize money if no official racing takes place. The balance shall be shared equally amongst all competitors registered (and present) at an event

25. Series Result & Prize Money; IFWC World Ranking

25.1 Tour Series Result shall be calculated on an annual basis for men & women and may be calculated for board & rig brands. Only one official result is necessary for an event to produce a valid result counting towards the series result.

25.2 The details of the Series Prize Fund will be published before the closing date for pre-entry to the first event on the European Tour. This includes: how many competitors will receive a share of the prize fund ; and how much each competitor will receive.

25.3 The IFWC may publish a series result for Youth (U20) and Masters (Over 35) based on the competitors position on the men or women ranking.

26. Team Rider Invitations

26.1 Each LOA shall invite an agreed number of foreign Tean Riders to his event.

26.2 Invited Team Riders shall be provided with free accommodation.

26.3 Invitations shall be agreed with IFWC, through the IWA Office, too ensure a fair balance of different brands Team Riders receive invitations.

26.4 The IWA shall ask all brands to support the tour by ensuring a “foreign” Team Rider is present.

27. European Cup Committee

27.1 Each LOA shall be represented on a sub committee of the IFWC – European Cup Committee (ECC).

27.2 The ECC shall work closely together to promote the identity of the Tour and to find a Tour Sponsor.

27.3 Any Tour Sponsor shall be used for the benefit of the Tour and of each event on the Tour. Funds will be allocated to events within the Tour as approved by the ECC.
